Tidomet Plus Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Levodopa and Carbidopa which treats Parkinsonism. Levodopa is a dopamine precursor which gets converted to dopamine, a chemical messenger that controls movement in the brain. Carbidopa is a peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor which prevents breakdown of levodopa allowing it to enter the brain and increase dopamine levels.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Tidomet Plus Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time. Avoid Tidomet Plus Tablet with high protein meals such as cottage cheese, Swiss cheese, protein powder, eggs and milk.

Alcohol CAUTION Tidomet Plus Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Tidomet Plus Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Tidomet Plus Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Partial to complete suppression of lactation was seen in mothers on the treatment with Tidomet Plus Tablet, but when the treatment was stopped, lactation returned to normal levels. warnings Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well. As Tidomet Plus Tablet may cause dizziness, drowsiness, double vision, which may affect your ability to react which may affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney Tidomet Plus Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with kidney disease. Limited data aVialable suggests that dose adjustment of Tidomet Plus Tablet may not be needed in these patients.
