Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is a nitrate. It works by relaxing the blood vessels which decreases the oxygen demand of the heart and reduces its workload. It thus prevents/treats attacks of angina (chest pain)
How to use
Place the tablet under the tongue or between the cheek and gum, and let it dissolve. Do not chew, crush, or swallow the tablet. Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is to be taken empty stomach.
Interactions / Warnings
Alcohol CAUTION Sorbitrate 5 Tablet may cause symptoms such as flushing, increased heartbeat, nausea, thirst, chest pain and low blood pressure with alcohol (Disulfiram reactions). warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Sorbitrate 5 Tablet may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. warnings Driving SAFE Sorbitrate 5 Tablet does not usually affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney SAFE Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is safe to use in patients with kidney disease. No dose adjustment of Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is recommended. However, inform your doctor if you have an underlying kidney disease. warnings Liver Sorbitrate 5 Tablet is probably safe to use in patients with liver disease. Limited data aVialable suggests that dose adjustment of Sorbitrate 5 Tablet may not be needed in these patients. Please consult your doctor.
