Solvin Cough is a combination of two medicines: Promethazine and Pholcodine, which relieves dry cough. Promethazine is an antiallergic. It blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which is responsible to trigger cough due to allergy. Pholcodine is a cough suppressant. It suppresses cough by reducing the activity of cough center in the brain.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Solvin Cough is to be taken with food. However, this medicine can also be taken before food.
