Tolnim Tablet is a combination of two medicines: Nimesulide and Tolperisone which relieve muscle pain. Nimesulide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) which works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling). Tolperisone is a muscle relaxant. It works by acting on the centers in the brain and spinal cord to relieve the muscle stiffness or spasm.
How to use
Tolnim Tablet should be taken with food. This will prevent you from getting an upset stomach. You should take it regularly as advised by your doctor. Do not take more or use it for a longer duration than recommended by your doctor.
Interactions / Warnings
It is unsafe to consume alcohol with Tolnim Tablet. Tolnim Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor. Information regarding the use of Tolnim Tablet during breastfeeding is not available. Please consult your doctor. Tolnim Tablet may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur. Tolnim Tablet should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Tolnim Tablet may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Use of Tolnim Tablet is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease. Tolnim Tablet is probably unsafe to use in patients with liver disease and should be avoided.
