Clobazam is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Clobazam may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

warnings Alcohol CAUTION Clobazam may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol. warnings Pregnancy WEIGH RISKS VS BENEFITS Clobazam may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Animal studies have shown adverse effects on the fetus, however, there are limited human studies. The benefits from use in pregnant women may be acceptable despite the risk. Please consult your doctor. warnings Lactation Clobazam is probably safe to use during lactation. Limited human data suggests that the drug does not represent a significant risk to the baby. Short-term use is not expected to cause any adverse effects in the breastfed baby, especially if the baby is older than 2 months. During long-term use, monitor for possible sleepiness. warnings Driving Do not drive unless you are feeling well. You may feel sleepy or have concentration or memory problems after taking Clobazam and this may affect your ability to drive. warnings Kidney Clobazam should be used with caution in patients with severe kidney disease. Dose adjustment of Clobazam may be needed. Please consult your doctor. Limited information is aVialable on the use of Clobazam in these patients. No dose adjustment is recommended in patients with mild to moderate kidney disease. warnings Liver CAUTION Clobazam should be used with caution in patients with liver disease.
