Flotral D is a combination of two medicines: Alfuzosin and Dutasteride, which relieves the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Alfuzosin is an alpha-blocker. It works by relaxing the muscle around the bladder exit and prostate gland so as to allow easy passage of urine. Dutasteride is a 5-alpha-reductase inhibitor which helps in shrinking the prostate gland by decreasing the level of the hormone which helps the prostate gland grow.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Flotral D is to be taken with food.
Interactions / Warnings
Flotral D should not be taken by women or children. Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have low blood pressure or liver or kidney disease. This medicine may not be suitable. It can also affect, or be affected by, other drugs so let your doctor know all other medicines you are taking. You may be advised to wear a condom during sex and to have your blood pressure checked frequently. Talk to your healthcare team if you drink alcohol.
