This Tablet is an immunosuppressant. It reduces the action of body's own defense system (the immune system) and prevents rejection of the transplanted organ. It also blocks the action of certain chemical messengers that are responsible for inflammation, swelling, and redness associated with certain joint diseases.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. This Tablet is to be taken with food.
Interactions / Warnings
If you have an allergy to azathioprine or any other part of this drug. - Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any drugs. - Make sure to tell about the allergy and what signs you had. - This includes telling about rash; hives; itching; shortness of breath; wheezing; cough; swelling of face, lips, tongue, or throat; or any other signs. - If you are pregnant or may be pregnant. - If you are breast-feeding.
